in Irvine, CA JOB OVERVIEW:
Positioning and branding copywriter responsible for development of
strategic marketing messaging targeting varying Toshiba customer segments
and sales/distribution channels. Involves interaction with technical
product management, strategic customer market
REQUIREMENTS:
* BA/BS in English, Business Administration, Marketing or an equivalent
combination of education and related business experience. or an equivalent
combination of education and related business experience.
* Plus a minimum of 4 years of directly applicable experience in strategic
marketing program development and execution in the computer technology
market.
* Strong copywriter comfortable with varying technologies and vertical
markets. Knowledge of AP style guide, grammar, spelling, strong
proofreading and editing skills required.
* Work experience in managing and developing communications plans across
multiple media including collateral, web, advertising, etc., developing
standards/guidelines for communications, quality control of these
guidelines
* Understanding of marketing and communications within high-tech market
for various customer segments, sales channels and internal Toshiba
audiences
* Ability to take total ownership and drive program/projects from
beginning to end, working with multiple internal departments and third
party vendors.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task in fast moving, dynamic
work environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven track record of developing effective business relationships (both
internal and external), building team consensus, and collaborating across
functional lines.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop and implement communication plans including interactive
communications (email, web advertising, etc.).
* Develop Toshiba brand and messaging usage guidelines, and ensure quality
control of these documents across channels and media.
* Create detailed product and Toshiba positioning communications and
messaging for use on sell.toshiba.com, toshibadirect.com and all marketing
resources produced.
* Produce copy for newsletters for distribution both internally and
externally.
* Create copy for channel communication program email blasts on products,
services, programs and promotions; and letters on special programs,
promotions and change in business T&Cs.
* Perform other duties as may be assigned
