Business Media is a diversified
B2B publisher with more than 50 Web sites delivering business
news to audiences in 16 industries. Our Interactive Division
is expanding and we’re looking to hire professionals who thrive
in a lean, fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
We are currently recruiting for an Editor-in-Chief and
Assistant Editors to lead the development of several business-news
Web portals in the construction equipment, transportation,
aviation, printing, and imaging industries.
Job Responsibilities: --Write and edit daily,
breaking-news copy and longer-range editorial projects
--Supervise an assistant editor (EIC position specifically)
and work collaboratively with programmers, producers and
designers
--Manage freelance contributors
--Develop Webcasts, online tools, directories and other information
services
--Set the overall editorial strategy and direction of the
portals
Job Requirements --Minimum four years (editor
in chief), three years (assistant editor) of business-news
writing and editing
experience, with specific experience managing or having input
a product's overall editorial content
- Experience in developing/coordinating content for a publication,
assocaition or organization in the construction,
aviation, transportation, printing or imaging (photograph)
markets a plus
- Experience developing online events (webcasts, podcasts)
also a plus
