Overview
Performance Technology Associates, Inc. (PTA) is currently
seeking qualified candidates to join its team of documentation
and training professionals. Specifically, PTA is seeking an
expert in Structured Writing methodology (e.g. DocuTools or
Information Mapping) to analyze and develop extensive documentation
and manuals for print and online deployment. This position
is based in the Washington DC area and, depending on the candidate,
may be salaried or hourly.
Requirements * Fluent in structured writing
methodology, either DocuTools or Information Mapping
* 5+ years of experience as a technical writer or content
developer
* Experience capturing content via SME interviews and observations
* Experience consulting to external clients and organizations
with responsibility for productivity
* Able to commute daily to metropolitan Washington DC area
Preferences * Experience and interest in designing
and developing training
* Experience and interest in delivering classroom instruction/workshops
