This exquisite example of intricate carvings and craft work during the Mughal period continues to be one of the most precious tourist attraction's of India. In fact, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was build around the mid 1600's. King Ashoka's court, during the 3rd century B.C also brought to light the marvellous beauty of stone carvings and stone structures.

  • The state of Rajasthan is famous for its stone work. The sandstone and marble quarries in Makrana, the sculptures in Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Bikaner & Bharatpur as well as the marble stone carvings of Gods & Goddesses in the capital city of Jaipur are all well known.
