The Birthday Party
You may get what you
want but you may not want what you get. It was my birthday. My parents
were planning a surprise party for me. I did not know about it so
I was sad. I went down to play with my sister, Anika.
As usual she annoyed
me. I found a shiny odd-shaped pebble and kicked it into a stone
patch and said to myself “I wish Anika turns into a snake as she
is always the center of attraction.” To my amazement she actually
turned into a snake.

I realized it
was a magic pebble! I ran home with the snake and explained
the situation to my parents. These were my problems:
- My dad was
angry with me.
- My mom locked herself in the room as she was terrified of
snakes.
- I kind of missed Anika because I didn’t have anyone to play
with.
I quickly ran
to the stone patch to find the pebble. When I found it I kicked
it and made a wish again that the snake should turn back into
Anika. Remarkably the snake turned back into Anika.

I ran for my life
because Anika chased me all the way home. It was quite funny. It
occurred to me that everything in life is not perfect but you should
be happy with what you have.
Suddenly I heard loud
noises. My friends finally arrived
for my surprise party.
