pukurghate meyeti ashe sakal bikel dukure,
hethaye se ashei roje

duchkhe nei sapner khoje,
choaye tar chotta hathti jalamagna pukure.

sange kore esheche niye rashikrita bashon,
hari korai bati thala

poreche tar majar pala,
bashonguli manche je tar chotta hather shashon.

pash diye tar michil je jaye sochcharita sarab,
sobar mone dite shan,

ekti bishal avijan,
prochar kore shikkhai je jibaner sera garab.

prochar shune mayeti kore khanik kayik dhakal,
ghure michiler chatpash

jogar kore je ekrash,
shikkhar tore prochar kora likhita kagaj sakal.

nouko gore seigulire bhashie dilo pukure,
duchokhe nei sapner khoje

emoni tai je nittya roje,
jiban chole ek dharaye sakal bikel dukure..
