to do well during an HR Interview
A lot of candidates
in the IT Industry take the HR round for granted. They think that
getting shortlisted after the Technical round would be good enough
to get them the job offer and that the HR Round is a mere formality.
But a good number
of candidates have got rejected in the HR round despite doing well
in the Technical rounds. The candidate has to impress the HR heads
with their vision & attitude. The HR rounds must be taken seriously.
After all, it decides on your compensation.

The Human Resources
department has always been taken for a ride by the employees.
But Human Resources Department plays a great role in career
growth, onsite opportunities, promotions and welfare for any
employee in the organization.
A good rapport
with this department will be of huge benefit for your career.
So make sure to build a good rapport during the HR round of
interview with the organization's HR heads.

Here are a few
tips below to do well during the HR Round & make a good impression:

1. Research
well about the organization
where you are going for the interview. Please read through
the company’s website or read some articles about the company.
Also make sure to read about the company's profile, the nature
of services they provide and about their clients.
2.
If you are an experienced candidate, you will be
asked what you were doing in previous projects? You will be
expected to talk about your previous projects briefly and
explain your last project in detail. Hence, be clear and precise
about your previous job experiences.
3. Answer
all questions to the point.
4.
If you are asked about your strengths & weakness,
please make sure that your answer professionally. Emotional
answers are not required.
5. Listen
to the questions properly before
answering.

6. Do ask
questions and put forth your queries to the HR department
during your HR interview. It could be related to the company, work
profile, project, domain, work environment, salary & other perks.
Such candidates will be able to make a better impression.
7. The candidates
should know about their short & long terms career goals
and their should be clarity in their vision. They should be clear
about their expectations, for example, if they are looking for onsite
opportunities & promotions in shorter period.
8. Good negotiation
skills can be the deciding factor for good compensation. HR
professionals are usually expert negotiators too. You should know
how to negotiate well with them.
9. Candidates
should be properly and formally dressed. Do carry copies
of your resume & passport size photographs. If you are an experienced
candidate, also carry pay slips for the last 3 months. Show some
patience, if your interview is getting delayed.
10. Be confident
& relaxed. Always prepare for your interviews ahead
of time.
