Diet for
Body Builders
A good body
building diet and nutrition is the
key success to your body building programme. Here is a special diet for
body builders which composes of proteins and carbohydrates and little
fat upto 2 % is recommendable. There are basic rules for
diet for body builders, that diet should not be very heavy ,there should
be small amount of feedings in the entire day, one should not starve in
order to achieve good figure.

The basic bodybuilding diet can compose of oats combined with
milk and some dry fruits like almonds, and other nuts. The diet should
also include carbohydrates like rice with baked potatoes, green vegetables
like broccoli, beans.
Dietary supplements
should only be taken when they are requires, unnecessary consumption
of supplements can lead to many severe health problems. The intake of
saturates fats like alcohol, salt, excess sugar foods must be avoided. One
should increase the intake of water and should exercise regularly.
Maintaning normal weight is also necessary.

Body builders should
consume the food according to their exercise. Greater expenditure of
energy will require more intake of food to keep the body healthy. In case
for weight loss programmes ,where the amount of energy consumed should be
less than the amount of energy release in form of exercise. Creating 20-25
% decrease in energy balance will result in weight loss.
People who want to
build their body according to weight lifting ,they are required to
build more muscle than fat. To increase muscle mass one should increase
the intake of food and increase the exercise. The diet for such
bodybuilders includes high dairy product intake like milk and cheese.
Overeating is not
recommended, one should consume food according to the energy burnt
daily in form of exercises. As the weight training will increase the body
will require more of protein , but intake of protein should be checked as
more protein intake can affect kidneys adversely.
For a healthy body
building it is recommended that one should eat cooked food and not eat
precooked or processed food. Fresh vegetables and home cooked food is
ideal for body building diet as it will contain less salt and sugar.
